It’s recommended you first complete the GitHub Repository Channel Creation Guide

1. Create a Channel

From the channel page, select “Add New”.

2. Slack App Installation

If you haven’t already installed the Dosu Slack app, you’ll have to install it before creating a channel.

You’ll be redirect to the Slack app installation page where you’ll select from the top left the Slack workspace you’d like to install on.

After allowing access you’ll be directed back to the app.

3. Channel Creation & Configuration

Once you’ve selected the Slack channel, you’ll be able to customize the channel’s configuration.

4. Review & Deploy

Once you’re through the configuration steps you should see a final page where you can review the setup. If everything looks good, select Create Channel to create the channel.

Congratulations! You’ve finished creating your first channel. You should now see your channel on the Channels page.

5. Interact with Dosu

Now that you’ve created a channel, you can interact with Dosu in the target Slack channel. Go the channel and simple @dosu to mention Dosu and ask a question.
